Weight Training Makes Your Heart Stronger

Health Tip:

It’s not just your body muscles that benefit with a little weight training, but also your heart. After all, your heart is all muscle, and a healthy heart pumps more blood with little effort. Moderate weight training improves cardiovascular health, decreases coronary risk factors, and improves endurance.  According to the Iowa State University study, Lifting weights for less than an hour a week may reduce the risk for a heart attack or stroke by 40 to 70 percent.
